CHARACTER
Name: Yngvarr Erikson
Age: 16
Species and Gender: Male wolf faunus
Symbol:
Occupation: Beacon first year student
Appearance: Yngvarr is a caucasian man with shoulder length blonde hair that he often wears in braids. He has light blue eyes. His body is very well built and he can look quite intimidating. He stands at 6'4" and weighs 115kg. Outside of combat he wears a short sleeved leather jacket over a plain t-shirt, with jeans. He has a pair of wolf ears which he rarely bothers to hide. In combat he wears a helmet with an eyeguard. Over plate mail he wears a cloak that is dyed and textured to look and feel as close to Grimm hide as possible.
History: Yngvarr was born and raised in Atlas, with his parents. Yngvarr's father, Gunleif, was a hunter, often out protecting their home city while his mother stayed at home to look after the child.
One day, however, things took a wrong turn. Yngvarr's father discovered a betrayer in the midst of Atlas, and took matters into his own hands. In the end it became a showdown between traitor and hero. Yngvarr's father won and brought the traitor to a swift end. Or so it was thought. Yngvarr's father was seen as the traitor, and he had no choice but to flee Atlas with his family, making them enemies of the state too. Yngvarr, knowing the truth, vowed to clear his father's name. Gunleif was proud of his son and concluded that he would send him to Beacon to become a hunter as was his father. Maybe together they could return to Atlas one day as free men. Yngvarr trained every day and every night from then on, preparing to prove his father's innocence. They traveled the world before finally settling in Vale. At the age of 16 Yngvarr took the entrance exams for Beacon Academy and began his training to become a huntsman and redeem his father's name.
Personality: Outside of battle, Yngvarr is very friendly, but very competitive. He will often start random competitions to prove himself to others. He is a sore loser. He loves to tell tales of his battles, and will even turn that into a competition, constantly trying to one-up other people's tales and will often exaggerate his tales to ridiculous degrees. Of course, he keeps his past a secret to avoid being arrested. He holds his father in very high regard and can become agitated easily from people insulting Gunleif.
Aura and Semblance: Yngvarr has no semblance, at least not that he knows of. He usually uses his aura to boost his already immense strength, allowing him to complete amazing feats.
Combat Behavior: In combat Yngvarr will often charge recklessly into the fray, usually not thinking about his or his team mate's safety. He is immensley strong, capable of feats that would seem almost impossible for a human. Due to this however, and his choice of weapons, he lacks speed in his strikes. If an enemy is cornered by him, however, then they will have to withstand a pummeling.
WEAPON
Name: Hrunting and Nęgling; Jotunn Hjorr
Primary Form: Dual greatswords, Hrunting and Nęgling. Each sword is designed to be used with two hands, but Yngvarr holds one in each hand. They are about 5 feet in length each and a width of 2 inches, and are very heavy. As a result Yngvarr wields them fairly clumsily, but they are deadly should they make contact. They each have an effigy of a dragon around the hilts.
Secondary Form: Single sword Jotunn Hyorr. Both swords combine to create the "Giantsword". Reaching 7.5 feet in length and with a width of 3 inches. This sword is such that a hit with it will carve through most resistance put up against it. Of course, this is assuming it hits. With the huge weight of this monstrosity it takes all of Yngvarr's strength to wield it and he tires fairly quickly, so he will only use it as a finisher or in an emergency. The two dragons from each sword intertwine to create a two headed dragon image on the hilt. The swords combine via a connection at the end of each hilt. The blade of one sword flips around and merges with the other, making use of several hidden switches and hinges that allow the blades to "meld" into one huge blade.
Dust Functions: None
History: These swords were given as a gift from his father shortly before he was outlawed and forced to flee. Yngvarr started off using only one, slowly growing more and more confident with it. He moved on to using both soon enough. As of his entering Beacon he is a fearsome warrior, however he has not yet mastered these blades, due to their weight.
