Airi stands at 5'6", and sitting at 130lbs, her body is slender and petite. She has soft-brown hair cut in a hime-style: her bangs go straight down to just slightly above her eyebrows, and the rest of her hair is just short enough to lightly rest on her shoulders. Her complexion is fair, though still a tinge darker than the average citizen of Atlas, and her looks used to be pretty average, in part due to her just not caring about it; after getting taken in and pampered by the Bicardi family, she ended up getting into the habit of at making herself look a little nicer. She has white lion ears (which she usually conceals with a cap of some sort when out in public casually) and teeth, most notably her canines, that are a tad sharper and a tad more pointy than normal. Airi always tries to dress in a way that is appropriate for someone of her family's prestige, whatever that may be. She is aware of Atlas' fashion trends, but she doesn't follow them unless she thinks they aren't stupid. On the middle finger of her right hand, she wears her mother's wedding ring which was given to Airi by her father after her mother's passing. She would also wear her father's ring, but it's too big for her so instead she wears it on a silver chain necklace, concealed under her over-garments. [ ]

Notoriety: When Airi was officially adopted by the Bicardi family, the Atlesian upper-class and a good portion of the middle-class took notice of her. It was an uncommon event and stirred much controversy. However, it was being chosen as the next Bicardi family heir(ess) that briefly propelled her into the forefront of the Atlesian consciousness as you'd be hard-pressed to find someone who didn't know of her or of her situation. For now, she sits on the backburner of the people's minds, only recalling her when reminded.

Outside of Atlas, anyone who closely follows Atlesian news and politics will most likely know of her though that is, of course, in no way a guarantee.

History: Airi was born into the Fogdens, a Faunus family in service to the Bicardi family. Her mother, Bella, passed away due to birth-related complications and so it was up to her father, Omar, to raise her. Fortunately, the Bicardi family's head, Aspen, was able to aid him in this regard, vowing to end the Fogden family's line of servitude with Airi, and he gave her access to all the resources that were also available to his own children.

Her father's health steadily declined over the years, and soon it had gotten bad enough that he was relieved of his duties and allowed to rest for the remainder of his days. When she was eight, he passed, and in a display of deep gratitude for her father's and his family's exemplary service, Aspen chose to officially adopt her. Aspen's only two children, now her elder bothers, were already used to her presence so familiarity wasn't an issue. They were worried about getting dislodged, but soon they realized that she posed no threat to their positions in the family so they paid her no mind and accepted her.

Airi was raised as if she were one of their own. She used to attend prestigious schools, but everyone treated her like an outsider; they thought she was lucky to be in the position she was in, and if they were her, they'd be licking Aspen's shoes. This became a prevalent theme throughout her life, and while it happened less frequently as time went on, she ended up being home schooled, the decision ultimately deteriorating any semblance of acceptance from her peers.

Alongside attending Atlas, she wanted a way erase people's doubts about her and so she went into dueling. Well, it was actually primarily as a hobby, but that was certainly part of the reason, too. It was here that she had a brief and secret stint with Avery, cut short by the disappearance of both her brothers as they were in transit to Vale which left her as the sole heir to the primary Branch of the Bicardi family. This turn of events sent ripples out into Atlesian high society: Most prestigious families held unfavorable views toward Faunus, and the family's branch families (rightfully) called into question her legitimacy  and demanded that their sons be considered instead. Aspen brushed them all off. For him, Airi taking his place was a matter of when, not if. Aspen had raised her like his own daughter and, well, he think it'd make a hell of a story if things worked out.

Airi accepted her father's wishes and planned on taking the throne herself, that is, if there's anything left of it to take.

Personality:

Like a Book
Airi is soft-spoken, but that doesn't mean she is afraid to speak her mind. She typically isn't on the forefront of conversations, but she isn't necessarily reserved, either. She is smart, she knows it, and she makes sure that others know of her thoughts and positions so the best possible decisions can be made.

The Queen and Her Entourage
She is independent, preferring to get things done by herself or with a small, trusted group. Similarly, she prefers having a small social group and attending gathering that are small in size. Being around many people doesn't necessarily bother her, but she prefers having strong connections with those around her, and having too many tends to work against that ideal.

Away From Prying Eyes
When she is more comfortable, usually in private, she is a bit more outgoing and sociable. She enjoys lightly teasing or messing with those she is close with and just likes to have fun in general.

Eyes on the Prize
She is strong-willed, steadfast, and straightforward. If there is something she sincerely wants, she will reach for it with great persistence and perseverance, not letting anything get in her way (within societal limitations, anyway). The only thing greater than her will is her loyalty.

Standing Among Giants
She is deeply loyal to her closest friends and to the Bicardi family for taking her in. It is from this loyalty that she feels shame for her heritage. By taking her in, the Bicardi family did take a hit to their reputation among Atlas' upper echelon, but to what degree she doesn't know. All she knows is that other prestigious families do not look at the them, especially her, the same way as they do the others, and that bothers her greatly.

The Only Winning Move is Not to Play
Having endured so much of it in her life already, she is fairly resistant to insults and unjust criticisms, always taking the higher ground for things pertaining to herself or her family. For other matters, she speaks her mind but does so in a civil manner. Her tongue is sharp, but she believes it best to keep it sheathed.

Queen's Domain - Kneel Before the Queen
When activated, everyone and everything within (360 degrees) line of sight of Airi is forced to their knees. Queen's domain is indiscriminate, affecting any creature, friend or foe, so long as they are touching the ground in some way. The farther away anything is from her, the less an effect Queen's Domain has on them. While it can technically extend to the horizon, its effect past 200m is negligible, at 100m it is a slight hindrance, at 10m it is about 2G's, and within 1m about 5G's.

Aura cost decreases with increased distance from Airi since the effect also weakens with distance. It also varies with mass. Generally, when within 1m, the cost is 1% per second (60% per minute) per creature of fairly similar magnitude of mass to Grimm, humans, and Faunus. At 10m, 0.1%/s/creature (6%/min), 0.01%/s/creature (0.6%/min) at 100m, and 0.005%/s/creature (0.3%/min) at 200m.

Activating and deactivating Queen's Domain is as easy as flipping a switch. It also requires no concentration to use. Breaking line of sight negates the effect.

Combat Behavior: Airi's fighting style appears sporadic, but all her moves are tactical and calculated. She uses her Silverfangs and her boots to maneuver around the battlefield, temporarily activating her semblance as she closes in on her enemies to disrupt their defenses. Generally, she prefers to hang back a little to figure out her opponents, but she is able to read her battlefields well and determine when she needs to start going on the offensive.

She prefers fighting alone or with her team. When with her team, she serves as a flanker, and in pre-battle, involves herself with tactics and strategy. She dislikes working with larger groups, instead choosing to ride solo or with her team while going along with the overall strategy set by everyone else.

Whenever Airi meets Avery in a tournament, to put it bluntly, she goes ham on him, and he is the only opponent she does it for. Her typical fighting style is similar to Avery's except she is more is more free, fluid, and flexible than him in his approach to fights. Likewise, Avery also sheds his usual fighting style for all-out hyper-aggression.

Relatively speaking, she is fairly fragile so she has a hard time with taking hits. Her entire kit is most effective in close combat, and alongside the fact that she has no ranged capabilities, that is her biggest weakness. She tries to work around this by being extra mobile and aggressive in an attempt to prevent ranged fighters for settling into a comfortable position.

Primary Form: A pair of single-edged short swords with 2' blades and a device affixed to the hand-guards that fires compacted, pointed grappling hooks out from the pommels.

Beware the Lion's Claws

Primary Form: A pair of thin, metallic gauntlets whose fingertips are sharply pointed.

Dust Functions: None.

History: When she was still getting used to her Silverfangs, should would often loose her grip on them.  These were her backup weapons whenever that happened. Now that she's more experienced, she doesn't really need them anymore, but she likes to keep them handy.

AUXILIARY WEAPON 2
Silence in the Night

Name: (none)

Primary Form: A pair of polished, shin-length greaves with small Dust vents on the back of the heels and small pores on the bottom of the soles.

Dust Functions:

Propellant Dust (Heel Vents): Increases the power of her kicks.
Repulsion Dust (Sole Vents): Helps her slide around on the ground when using her grapples. Also softens or completely mutes her footsteps.

History: These were made because she wanted to increase her possible range of movements when using her grapples. In the event that she has become swordless, they also increase her fighting capacity alongside her gauntlets.

DUELING WEAPON
Grant Me A Wish

Name: Jin

Primary Form: A simple, plain, single-edged short sword similar in look to her Silversfangs minus the grappling device and with a slightly longer blade.

Dust Functions: None.

History: Jin was the sword that she started dueling with. At first, it was a bit too big for her but she eventually grew into it.

Insects were the exact reason why I had to add that aura costs also depended on magnitude of mass :p. Unfortunately, they'd probably be the least affected by her semblance because something something power to mass ratio.
