CHARACTER

Name: Attom Goldwyn

Age: 18 years old, 4 Niegre 62 AC

Species and Gender:  Human Male

Symbol: This is also his semblance symbol. It is mandala of the traditional chinese words for heart and gold.

Occupation: Hunter in training

Appearance: Long, straight, golden hair that goes down to the small of his back, that he ties into a ponytail or bun. His eyes are a sharp true blue. Most of his features are sharp and angular. He is thin, weighing in at 130lbs at being 5ft7in. His most distinguishing feature is a gold glowing piece of thunder dust merged with him in the center of his chest.

He dressed well to fight while in Beacon. He likes to wear flowing clothes. He is infamous for his dark blue top coat, gold vest, and dark blue dress pants. He tends to keep his shirts, gloves, and shoes white. Under his shirt and gloves he wears rubber to help ground the electricity and keep himself from exploding if he were to ever get hit with something with his aura down.

History:  Attom Goldwyn was born with a heart condition (arrhythmia) that his aura couldn’t be used to fix. He needed an expensive pacemaker to keep him alive, which his parents spent the money for, but it was a temporary solution. At the age of five the dust for the pacemaker would run out. They just couldn’t get the money in time to replace it but an old town’s person reminded Attom’s parents of dust fusion. It sounded like the better option to go to keep the pacemaker going and fusion could give it a longer cheaper fuel source than the alternative. This… fusion was pretty traumatizing. It never got better for him when he had to refuel the pacemaker, but he learned to hide his pain and fear for the good of others. The suppliers said refueling would always depend on how much dust crystal was fused into his body but he could usually tell that a dust crystal about the size of his palm would last him a year.

Attom Goldwyn grew up in the Vale town of Pactois. His mother was a stay at home mom while his father was a town guard. Being that Pactois was just on the on the outside of the ‘safe zone’ Attom’s dad had a very busy job. His mom was a worry wart that was afraid of grim, and wanted to keep her baby boy safe. She tried to give him what he needed but ended up coddling him and keeping him from other children his age.

His father eventually took him out to train him on how to defend himself. He recognized that Attom wasn’t physically strong so he had to be quick and quick witted to combat his foes. When his aura was unlocked, they both were reminded that the fused dust crystal that was usually inactive and practically harmless, could be wielded by Attom. But it was also discovered that it would drain the yearly supply for his pacemaker. They agreed to only use it as a last resort and use that a thunder dust crystal that was slightly bigger for now on for those occasions, just incase.

As Attom grew up he started to resent his mother and wanted to be a town guard like his father. His father told him that he taught him all he knew and he would have to learn the rest in the training academies.

While at Signal academy, he felt like he knew everything there was to know about hunting and only wanted to know more so he could unlock his semblance. After a quick kick in the pants by the academy professors, he soon learned there was more to it than just learning your semblance. It was about perfecting what you have, creating your weapon, and learning what you can and can’t do with your semblance. He unblocked his semblance during training and made his weapon there as well.

Personality:Attom has high hopes to become a good hunter and give back to the community that gave to him his start in hunting. His goal is for his home to become one of the next safe zone areas of Vale.

Attom may look very angular and standoffish, but he is really nice. He is very compassionate to others misery since he knows pain all too well. Because of his pain, he likes to take any chance he can get to celebrate, or party. In that way he is gregarious. As a little game he plays with friends, Attom tends to borrow things a lot and give them back at inopportune times or ways.

Being stuck at home you kind of pick up a few weird habits and fears as in: like not liking dirt at all, fear of death by uncontrolled electrical currents. He copes with this by being well neat and tidy, and explicitly showing others his boundaries like little to no hugs and chest contact. He tries to not to be scared when he has to fight others with electric weapons or ammo, but he tends to get very overprotective of his chest. He refuses to acknowledge any fears he has and writes them off as “Quirks”.

Aura and Semblance: With his gold aura he controls the semblance of his symbol (the gold circle with chinese words for “heart” and “gold” seen above). He can speed up however fast something is going through his semblance symbol or over his symbol up to eight times its original speed or slow it down up to eight times its original speed. He casts his symbol with a wave of his hand and the symbol can be placed on a surface like a coin. The symbol can be placed flat like a coin on the ground or up and down on its side. The symbol can extend past the size of the surface as long as some part is touching the surfas.

This can be dust infused to shoot dust coated things at opponents. He has control over how fast something is shot at an opponent. This works on dust, inanimate objects, willing aura users, and creatures of grimm. The size of the symbols diameter can very from the size of his hand to the size of himself standing up straight. If he or another person can move what they want to move through or over the symbol, it can and will fly fast in the direction what they are moving it at. The size of what can be moved goes up to about the size of a two door car.

Combat Behavior: Attom has been trained to fight quickly and outsmart his opponent. He likes to trash talk. He relies heavily on his semblance for movement, casting dust at his opponents, and shielding himself. He tries not to get into physical fights without his weapon because he’s terrible at dealing out damage without it. If he can lead his opponent into a trap, he will. He has to keep his chest protected at all times during a fight, because aura alone isn’t enough to protect a dust crystal all the time. He has to be careful not to overexert his heart either. He isn’t a very good team player but that’s something he’ll have to work on. He keeps coins in his pocket to use as surfaces for his semblance. He is afraid of opponents who use electric dust against him.

WEAPON

Name: Merlin

Primary Form: In Merlins primary form, its overall shape is a gilded/ornate pole that is about a meter long. At the very bottom of the poles handle is a rotating dust chamber slot where Attom can choose which dust he wants to use for his attack and push it in the center of the pole. The opposite end of the pole is where the dust is extruded thanks to a sharp crystal looking points that glow whatever dust color is being used. The whole pole is strong and maintained often to keep it’s mostly gold color.

Secondary Form: The bottom of the pole extends out with a twist of the handle to make Merlin staff sized. The handle, and dust trigger, is still in the middle-ish of the staff.

Dust Functions:
This baby is all dust function along with his dust infused semblance. He uses his semblance for ranged attacks with the same effects.

Fire: Burning an opponent for extra damage.
Ice: Freezing an opponent in place
Thunder: Electrical shock stunning an opponent or taking extra damage.
Earth: For throwing projectiles at opponents and used as a base to get coated in dust through the symbol.

Personality: Being stuck at home you kind of pick up a few weird habits and fears as in: like not liking dirt at all, fear of death by uncontrolled electrical currents, having nothing or too much to talk about, and no inbetween. Attom doesn’t know how to share very well, or doesn’t care about giving things back. He has been fusing dust inside of him for such a long time that he has learned how to hide his pain very well. It’s scary. He sees others in pain, tries to judge on how painful it is vs how common people get in that kind of pain, and then give sympathy. If he can’t see the pain, you get automatic sympathy… unless it’s a headache. He tries to be fair but tends to favor himself.

Aura and Semblance: With his gold aura he controls the semblance of his symbol. He can control whether his symbol can stop or propel kinetic energy. The other side of the symbol does the opposite of propel or stopping kinetic energy. This can be dust infused to shoot dust, among other things at people.

Combat Behavior: Attom has been trained to fight quickly and outsmart his opponent. He likes to trash talk. He relies heavily on his semblance, for movement and casting dust at his opponents. Beacon Academy / New Team Tea Time (and clever Lager pun) [LGGR][closed]
« on: November 13, 2018, 02:30:20 AM »
Seeing as she was the leader, Leona felt it was right that she was the first one in the dorm. She placed her travel bag and trunk at the end of the bed closest to the center of the room, then started to decorate.  She felt like she was there for an awfully long time waiting for someone to show up. She would have already finished by the time someone showed up. Taking the initiative as the leader she had replaced the curtains with pink frilly ones, placed a flowery welcome mat in the entrance way, she had set up a little table and china tea set in the middle of the dorm room. She sat at the little table, facing the door sipping her tea that was going cold.

“Welcome to Team Lager, I’m Leona Koningsblauw.” She cheerfully greeted whoever came in first.

“I hope you like black tea. I have cream, sugar, and honey. Oh and cookies.” She gestures to the plate of burnt cookies that are expertly iced to cover the fact that they are burnt.

Beacon Academy / [BSSM's] Bountiful Breakfast Buffet (Closed)
« on: November 06, 2018, 12:21:43 AM »
* DING *
The door rang for the all you can eat breakfast place and the team of hunters in training waltz in.

It had been a long flight back from Atlas to Vale, with only a palm-sized bag of hard pretzels and half a can ginger ale to stave off hunger and thirst.

Billy has been having this fluttering in her stomach the whole ride back and then some. She first thought it was because of her food, but after this much time without it, she was starting to think it had nothing to do with food at all. She hated this feeling. She felt this way a few times before but it always ended badly. Not like bathroom wise, but heart-wise. Not that she had a preexisting condition- Man this was hard to explain for her. Basically, she had a crush.

As the team claimed their seats and started off their 'all you can eat' breakfast, Billy ordered some flapjacks, bacon, and hash browns, but stayed relatively quiet and averting her eyes away from the group.

Beacon Academy / Tea and Cookies [Open]
« on: August 10, 2018, 02:22:16 AM »
There was the sweet smell of cookies being baked wafting through the hallway of the dorm leading toward the kitchen area this afternoon after classes. As one entered the kitchen area, they would be able to see the oven lightly smoking as Leona intensely read a cookbook while another three cookbooks sat around the messy kitchen. The strawberry blond girl used her semblance to lift an egg up to her hand as she read out loud the instructions.

“Beat vanilla and eggs together until well blended… Sounds simple enough. Not like the last recipe.”

Leona grabbed the egg and broke it into the bowl and started mixing. She still did not notice the smoke starting to slowly build behind her.

Beacon Academy / Dorm Room Shenanigans [closed][Team BSSM]
« on: May 04, 2018, 03:41:05 AM »
Billy Bone was the first to enter the dorm room with her uniform in a nice bag given to her by the school, weapon, and beat up travel backpack. She silver fox tail swished side to side as she gazed upon the room. A content smile crept into place at the first thing she saw, beds. Four of them, to be precise, with the headboards pushed up against the wall and a trunk at the end of them. As she scanned the room there were also four desks, chairs, and shelves lined up on the pale walls. She walked to the other side of the room and looked out the window before she sat on the bed closest to it.

She was so happy to know she'll be using an actual bed for the next four years. Billy had been on the road for a while now. Though she will be missing Sterling and having that that hunter teach her everything she needed to get her into school, she did miss the stability of living in an actual building.

She took off her hat and shook her black braided hair into place. She felt a bit sad as she looked out the window and it showed on her face. Her face turned to that of concern when she heard a commotion coming from the hall.

CHARACTER

Name: Billy Bone

Age: 17 years old, 3ed of Machlude, 63 AD

Species and Gender: Female Faunus, Silver Fox

Symbol:  Longhorn skull

Occupation: Huntress in training at Beacon. Training to be the fastest and most accurate gun in Remnant.

Appearance: Billy is dark skinned like milk chocolate. She has coal black hair braided into many small tight braids that look like straight black hair from a distance with the occasional white and gold beads in her hair. She has narrow brown eyes. She stands at 6 feet tall and is 169lbs, a pretty fit build. Billy also has a silver fox tail. Billy wears a button up white shirt under a tan vest. She wears tight dark blue jeans and tan cowboy boots. She wears sky blue belt, and a sky blue, bandana/neckerchief that she ties around her neck that has a ceramic longhorn skull that hangs on it. She tops the outfit off with a tan wide-brimmed hat.

History:Billy grew up without any roots. With no stable home, she was always moving for her protection because her father was a ‘bounty hunter’ in Vacuo. No, he wasn’t a huntsman. He, Tar Bone, was more of an assassin and kidnapper for those who needed his services. It became a rule in their household to not ask questions about how his day was. Her mother, Shell Traveler Bone, did her best to please Billy’s father every chance she had, much to Billy’s dismay.

Because of his profession, he needed her and her mother how to protect themselves. He taught Billy how to shoot at a very young age. When she was old enough he told her of their family’s rare hereditary semblance of aura lassos and tired his best to unlock her aura and tried to get her semblance active before she was ready. Though it worked, it was such a physical strain on her after getting it working that she passed out. Needless to say that day that was supposed to be one of the most joyous in her life, was one of the worst.

Billy hated her father and his profession. She despised that he was grooming her to become a bounty hunter but she didn’t see another choice in life. It was either this or become a scavenger in her mind. Being a ‘bounty hunter’ brought in the big bucks and she could move out of the lawlessness of Vacuo to a quieter place where she can have a normal life. It wasn’t until the first job she had to take with her father that she saw that she had another choice.

It was supposed to be a simple job. Go to the edge of town, wait for the target to come in from the desert, kill anyone they are traveling with or get him on his own, and take him into the hideout. The problem was the target was traveling with an undercover huntsman. Her father went for the target and she went for the target’s bodyguard. Before Billy could get a shot off, the hunter pulled her feet off from under her and disarmed her. The hunter then fought Billy’s father. During the fight, both Billy and the target made a run for it. They were stopped by a pack of grim. Billy froze. There was a scream that came from the target and the Huntsman quickly jumped into action to fight off the grim.

Her father used this opportunity to run off back to Vacuo and left Billy to take the blame. But instead of getter her in trouble, the hunter talked her into helping them get into the underground ‘bounty hunters’ ring and stopping them. Seeing them put a stop to her dad’s old profession, she finally felt hopeful for the future. She wanted to give law to a lawless land of Vacuo. But due to her now being a target to the ‘bounty hunters’ since she basically snitched on them, the hunter had to travel with her out of Vacuo to Vale.

When they traveled they became fast friends. Sterling Silver, the hunter, convinced her to become a huntress as they talked as they went through the desert. He trained her on the road to Vale against grim then pulled some strings to get her into the next session of Beacon. Though Billy barely passed the written test, her accuracy with her rifle was an A+. She has much to go with using the hammer portion of her weapon.

Personality: Billy hates her father and needs to find him and wants to bring him to justice. She can first seem withdrawn and slow to open up since she couldn’t most of her life. But once she does, she is warm and caring. She craves stability and safety. When it comes to her past she is secretive about it and one would have to pry the information that her dad was a ‘bounty hunter’ from her. But she will tell people small things about her past, like that she’s from Vacuo and basic stuff.

She likes practicing her accuracy, and speed of her shooting, but doesn’t like practicing her semblance because it reminds her of her father. Billy has an affinity for stray animals and they tend to follow her home by the dozen. Once she even came home with a wild pony she found wandering in the desert. She loves dark country music, or ‘gothic Americana’ she likes to call it. She knows and loves to make ice cream when she can. Billy enjoys a good root beer float on a hot day, and a walk down to the water to cool off.

Aura and Semblance: Her aura is sky blue #87CEEB . Her semblances is a projected aura lasso that latches onto one thing that she can see. Billy’s lasso can reach 20 feet. Her semblance can phase through and around objects, grim, and auras to create the hard light lasso that wraps around the target. The target could wiggle out of the lasso, break it with their own aura, or wait for it to break on its own. In theory, she could use it like any other rope, but she doesn’t have the training to keep her semblance up longer than a minute out of thirty minutes to use it as such.

Combat Behavior:Billy is a backline snipper with her lever action rifle. She takes her time to line up her shots to get the best damage done. When she is up close and personal, she uses her newly being refined skills of the quick draw against her opponent, then quickly switches to her hammer. Being that she wants to be the fastest, most accurate draw she has an itchy trigger finger when it comes to attacking. She doesn’t use her semblance unless she needs to catch someone fleeing or stop a grim from striking a teammate or civilian. Billy has a bad habit of standing in one place and shooting this could make her an easy target. She's not very creative with her semblance and her gun. For example, she didn't know you could use gunfire to slow down your fall until she saw someone else do it during her initiation at Beacon. Her semblance rope is very weak and only lasts thirty seconds at a time, tops. She also relies too heavily on the rifle portion of her weapon instead of the hammer bit. When it comes to fighting without her weapon, she still has the problem with standing in place and planting her feet in place but she can throw and take a punch.

WEAPON

Name: Longarm

Primary Form: Longarm is a lever action rifle with a thick heavy stalk

Secondary Form: She flips it so that she’s holding the barrel of the rifle. The stalk transforms into a hammerhead with a spike on the other side.

Dust Functions: Billy can shoot fire dust that causes explosion on impact. She can also shoot ice dust that freezes the target in the area where she shot it at. Electrically charged bullets are able to be fired from her gun. Kinetic dust when shot from her gun will shoot her backward from the point/angle she was shooting at. It can also propel any non-sturdy object away from the point she shot at.

History:.After being taught with a pistol, she learned from the hunter she traveled with how to shoot with a rifle and found it much easier to get more accurate shots done with it. She thought the hammer was a good metaphor for her judging criminals with her weapon like the law judges with its gavel. Billy got her last two dust functions as modifications to her gun from Smokey Emberstone’s father right before the vital tournament.

CHARACTER

Name:Leona Koningsblauw

Age:18 years old, Date of birth: 7 Huā 62AD

Species and Gender: Human Female,

Symbol:  A Lion with a crown on his head.
https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/5130yr4hZrL._SY300_.jpg

Occupation: Huntress in training

Appearance: Standing at 5ft 3 in, and weighing in at 158 lbs, Leona has short pale strawberry blonde hair that goes ends at the bottom of her neck. She braids a strip across the top of her head in headband fashion every morning. She has big round royal blue eyes and naturally brown eyebrows. She usually wears a black infinity scarf that doesn’t get caught on things. She wears a pink shirt under a white jacket with her symbol on the back, black gloves, black flared skirt, and black and white boots.

History: Mountain Glenn was Vale’s first serious attempt at expansion. Leona’s parents took advantage of this in their careers, thus meeting by chances during the construction of Mountain Glenn. Her father, Kale Koningsblauw a huntsman, and her mother, Sun Petunia a construction worker. He would be stationed where she was working and would keep an eye out for her while she was working. But Mountain Glenn did not have the natural barriers that Vale did and the Grim attacks became inevitably worse every day. In a last-ditch effort to stave off destruction, the citizens of mountain Glen took shelter underground and eventually sealed themselves from the surfaces entirely, so it would seem.

One day, Kale was called for a mission in Vale, leaving Sun with baby Leona. He was on the train back from Vale, the conductor stopped the train when they saw a swarm of grim in the way of the train tracks. He and his team quickly took charge and took the gim out but when they traveled on they found that their homes have been ravaged by grim. Unbeknownst to the citizens of Mountain Glenn, they missed a cavern where subterranean grim could come in through. Leona’s father ran as fast as he could to his home only to find a grim feasting on Leona’s mother’s corpse. Leona’s father killed the grim and saved Leona and took her back to Vale.

Once back in Vale, Kale took Leona to her aunt, his sister, Toffy to be ‘raised like a lady’. While he buried his grief in his work. Toffy did not like having to take care of Leona along with her own kids, but she did a reluctantly good job at it. Toffy was married to a wealthy man who was rarely home due to his constant business trips. She taught Leona how to dress and how to act in polite company.

Kale would always visit Leona on her birthday and sporadically between throughout the year. She loved to hear his tales of hunting grim the danger and excitement in the world. Then he would teach her hand to hand combat in the backyard. Thus making her more excited to become less ‘ladylike’ after every visit.

Leona grew up as a bright young kid along with her three other cousins, which she would eventually need to use what she learned against them. She was fascinated by how dust worked and dust technologies. When she became old enough, she begged to go to combat school. Toffy allowed and after a large fight with her father that left everyone in tears, he relented and allowed her to become a huntress.

She joined Signal academy where she unlocked her semblance during training, and built her weapon. She was quickly known as the super polite girl by her peers.

Personality: Leona is hopeful in the best outcome, and always looking up in the worst situation. Bing raised with the wealthy, she is quite the debonaire. Known as the overly polite girl by her peers and teachers at Signal. She is charming and outgoing. Though she is hopeful and always looking up. If someone asks her if she’s an optimist, she’d answer with she’s a realist. Meaning she looks at reality and takes it how it is, though she does so optimistically. She enjoys embordering dust into patches, scarves, and gloves, and gives them to friends. She always feels wired when she talks about Mountain Glen because she wasn't old enough to remember living there or the whole 'mother's death' thing. She get's quiet when she's asked about it because there's no real upside to that topic. She also enjoys video games and has a big sweet tooth. She loves to bake but has a bad habit of burning things.

Aura and Semblance: Leona’s aura is royal blue and strong. Her semblance is nicknamed “Only Up”. Her “Only Up” semblance works when she lays her hand on an item and coats it in her aura. She then has to be 30 feet within range of the object for her to 'work her magic'. She can them lift her arm in a sweeping motion and cause that item coated in aura to lift 30 feet in the air. She can't lift anything that has an aura or any grim. Thus any gear on an opponent, won't be affected by her semblance. When used with dust she can create pillars of either ice, fire, or earth depending on what dust crystal she uses.

Combat Behavior: Leona fights well in hand to hand combat. Not as good as a huntress, but better than your average adult. She loves to use dust with her semblance to make coulombs to hind behind and shoot around and tries to force them to come to her. Then she gets close up to her opponent and tries to disarm them either using her semblance or using her hand to hand combat skills. She tends to go 'all in' once she either she or her opponent gets close enough to her to melee. She has trouble fistfighting against other melee weapons unless she disarms them. She needs to work on how much aura consumption she uses in a fight, too so she's not always worn out after a fight.

WEAPON

Name: Guns and Roses (with dust crystal bracelets)

Primary Form: (Roses) It is made to look like an inconspicuous, long black glove with pink roses embroidered on it, with a crystal slot on the palm of the hand. Dangling around Leona’s wrists are different color dust crystals that she can clip into her gloves. She uses these dust crystals powered gloves to create the columns of either of ice, dirt, or fire.

Secondary Form: (Guns) She has two small hidden pistols in the sleeves of her jacket/ on her gloves. They fire .22mm rounds.

Dust Functions: Though she has a ‘gun’ function, she only uses regular bullets for ranged attacks, and dust for her combined semblance attacks.
Earth Dust: Earth Shield. She creates a column of earth that lifts up from the ground to the max of 30 feet.
Ice Dust: Ice Spire: Makes a column of ice that lifts up from the ground to the max height of 30 feet.
Fire Dust: BLAZING INFERNO TORNADO: Creates a fire vortex rising as high as 30 feet.

History: Made originally for Leona to just make spires with her gloves, she modified them to add a ‘gun’ function for ranged attacks.
