Sitting rather quietly Diana was simply watching the others with an unusually peaceful smile. She would be of no use in regards to Uloe’s ammo problem as the Eclipse (her weapon) used standard rounds for semi-auto, and raw crystals for the bolt action. She was however incredibly pleased to see how eagerly they were all coming with suggestions and trying to help each other. Her neuroticism had tried to convince her that her leadership abilities, or lack thereof,  would tear the team apart but here they were proving her wrong. Whilst small it was a nice moment, and she simply sat there beaming at them.

Eventually, she figured she should join and gave Janna a curious look "Sorry, Logistics problem? In what way."

As Zaffre added her suggestions, Diana jumped at the opportunity to learn a bit more about her new friends. Looking to the other girls on the team she probed a bit "Oh so both your dads work with weapons in some form?" After looking to them both she also shot a curious glance to Brock, as a bit of an open invitation, before nibbling at her bagel.

"You- You- Tssk, I think you don't see what makes a truly great patient, patients want to be treated, and that's exactly what I achieved! Twice in one row, that requires skill!" Kisha countered, pushing her hair out of her face. The conversation, or the evening in general, had taken an interesting turn. After the day started boring, she never expected that it would end in her sitting in a boat with a more or less stranger talking about fairies and ninja Doctors. Anger seemed to be a topic that didn't really appeal to either of them, but Kisha started talking about it anyway, "I'm not saying that you should give on up your anger, as you said it can be helpful, most just don't know how to deal with it and let it gain the upper hand."

The change of subject to Calen's siblings was relieving. Immediately after he started talking, you could see Kisha's eyes widening in amazement, "Nine?" she asked in disbelief, "Wow, and then they are all older than you? How did you survive that? As I said, I never had any, but I knew some who did, and they always complained about how annoying it is." Kisha laughed heartedly, but stopped abruptly when she noticed something, "Wow, wow, wow, wait a minute, You all have been training to become a Hunter? Uhm, what was your last name again? I'm sure your family must be known or something!" At that point, Kisha's curiosity had taken full control, and the questions in her mind were building up more and more. His life sounded so interesting and she was so invested in finding out everything about it.

"Uhm, let's just leave out the lying. Being an only child is not as lonely as you think, because if you never had siblings, you don't know how it feels like not to have them around I guess. And I had friends to do stuff with me. It's something different than having nine siblings, but there are still some interesting stories to tell. Like the one with the eye, for example, and of course, there was that one time we got into this haunted house. Believe me, that was an event I'll never forget." She said and couldn't help but laugh aloud as she thought back to that time. "And when my friends weren't there, I usually helped my grandparents in their shop, so no, it was never really lonely." After she had finished, she was silent for a short while. It was her turn to ask a question, what would she want to ask? "Hm, okay, next question, tell me a little bit about... your weapon."

"Siu. Siu Ceong." She gave what the driver asked for, clear and concise. Well, not as concise as possible-which Siu noted and makes the effort to maximize information accuracy in her scouting report, which has actual significance to the mission.

"A caravan in the aftermath of a Grimm attack. packs encircle the caravan at range and then another pack hovering around the wreckage. Numbers in the dozens." Siu said as she swiped her hand upwards, directing her dragon upwards to get an overview for the Grimm composition and a guess at the origin of the convoy. That information might be useful in deciding wherever their attack is linked to anybody, especially when matched with the testimony of the survivors. If there are any survivors.

"If we're unlucky they'd be too dead to provide enough information. But just the prospect of having anyone there makes it worth going. Not only because they need saving, but also because of their familiarity with this turf. At worse, we can take a look at their remains and maybe call in the cleanup team to give them a proper burial." Siu took a guessed at Saffron's concern and spelt out an explanation hopefully convincing enough for her. Now she waits after retrieving her dragon, she can't afford to waste Aura for no reason.

Hardly a social butterfly Diana was already out of her comfort zone from approaching someone she barely knew to then be joined by a stranger. Whilst a bit uncomfortable she was trying her best to seem approachable, somehow she had become a team leader so she had to get over her social anxiety. That was all well and good until the stranger reached his hand out to her and then silently walked around to visually inspected her, that she had no idea how to respond to. Nervously she straightened her skirt as he circled her and gave him an expectant look as he finished the rotation, as he started a second rotation Diana grabbed the writs on her other hand and generally shrunk in her seat. Of all the horrible explanations her brain could come up with for his behavior she had not expected the simple question he had so she was initially confused.

"What? I.. oh" relaxing her posture a bit she collected her thoughts as Toast actually introduced himself. ”Well yes I am a bit cold but I grew up in Mantle so I’m used to it, and there's this" she gestured to her choker "Fire dust that heats my blood and the air I breathe, it's pretty effective if not the most beautiful necklace."

As soon as Helena pointed out her pets Diana jolted back a bit in surprise before tilting her head and addressing the snake. "Oh hello there Kari, not enjoying the climate I take it. And you said there was another one? Oh!" As soon as she saw the fox under the table she slipped out of her seat and under the table to pet it. A few seconds later she slowly came up again realizing she may have gotten a bit too excited. "Ehrm, sorry. You said you've worked at a hospital? How did that happen?"

"Hhmmmmmm" Kisha looked from the cards on the hand to those in the middle. A seven would have been nice. She looked back at the cards in her hand and then slid the Seven of hearts to the cards in the middle and exchanged it with the Nine of diamonds. In her hand were now 26 points, not a bad number but nothing to secure s victory. After making her move, she looked at Ismael. Let's see what the others had in store.

(Current Cards:

(Kisha: Nine of diamonds, Seven of diamonds, Queen of Diamonds
Ismael: Ten of Spades, Seven of Spades, Nine of clubs
Kin: King of Hearts, King of Clubs, Ten of diamonds

Middle: King of spades, eight of hearts, Seven of hearts

The bolded ones are the ones that got switched)

It took Toast a bit to realize Sam was addressing him when he made his comment, but by the time the faunus realized the huntsman was using his real name, he was already in the mine.  Oh well.

In the meantime, Toast took stock of the surroundings now that there was an adequate source of light, and the environment surprised him slightly.  Whoever built these mines knew what they were doing.  Or, at least, it looked like they knew what they were doing.  Everything looked square and uniform, which made it seem like there was a degree of architectural planning involved.  The only real sign of mine’s abandonment is the faltering lighting system.

Normally, Toast wouldn’t really think too much on any of this as the group wandered through the tunnel, but the jarring difference between what seemed to be the official, if abandoned, portion of the mine and the one off-shoot that lacked the support structure and clean-cut pathways of the rest was just too hard to miss.  Between that and the sounds of work and machinery, the cat faunus’s curiosity was piqued, and Toast started meandering down the tunnel without really waiting for the rest of the group’s opinion or comment.

He’s not being entirely lackadaisical, of course.  He is on a mission and treating it at least somewhat seriously…for him, at least.  He sticks close to the walls, using his acrobatic skill to keep light on his feet and stealthy and focusing on his aura’s natural “danger sense” to sniff out anything dangerous before it bites him in the ass.

This one is not going to be easy to get out of. If she won't allow some distance, then just move the other way and get closer: the closer they are the more each bit of movement is worth. There's another thing he wishes to address with closing in, which is made obvious by the fact that he is wrapping her wires on her hands.

She asked an important question, Cat has almost forgotten about that. What did he fight for? He fought for equality, that people to be treated similarly and viewed only by their accomplishments and not by anything else, most relevantly not by race, sex or age. And if we're being witty, that includes fighting style as well. Or not, since fighting style has a great impact on your build and the proficiency of different attributes that are all important when determining the skills of a huntsman(-in-training). Point is, it doesn't make a world of difference to him whether she respected him with what he had shown. He'll just get to him, and then his more private reason will start to matter. He doesn't plan on telling that to Ayaka though. And he would've loved to tell her all about equality but for now, "I'll answer once I dodge that charged hit of yours."

Combat stats:
Aura: 62.88(repeating)%
Ammo for Take That!: 15/20 shots of piercing rounds loaded/1 magazine of piercing rounds/1 magazine of explosive rounds/5 shocking rounds/5 heating rounds/5 freezing round
Dust: 0% Fire/100% Earth/25% Lightning/0% Ice
Semblance: 2200 cm^3

Action: Buying time to get closer

"Yeah. that'll fucking happen." Cerulean muttered under his breath with a smile at the comment about calling for backup before casually pocketing his scroll.
"Names Cerulean Steel." he responded to the comment from their driver. Under the asumption the scouting effort had been done and relayed he would relay his plan.
"shouldn't that be obvious? we go and help them. we're huntsmen aren't we? Also if we're lucky they could be locals and we can earn some trust."
