Appearance: Solaris is quite tall is 6’2”. Charmingly handsome, wild and dazzlingly handsome, her hair is adorned with white, red and blacks, her hair would reach to her waist if not tied in a flat bun, with two braids circling around from the left side of her hair, her fringe is left as is since she just let it grow out during her travels and was never bothered by it during combat and likes to run her hair through it Solaris also has multiple piercings on her face and ear: inner right eyebrow, and right lower lip, she has three circular piercings in right ear, progressively getting bigger with a cross shaped one below that hanging on a very short silver chain. Her eyes are the same colours as her eyes and show deep rage within a visually imposing mixture of red, white and blacks.
Her skin tone is darker than the average Atlas citizen so she has been mistaken for Mistralian but her mannerisms and posture are easily identifiable as Atlas.
Huntress clothing
Solaris dons a skintight bodysuit, covering her from her toes to her neck, this soft-layer of armour provides comfort and insulation against the armours own generated heat from various functions and environmental conditions. Over that is a lightly armoured plating, providing more armour on her arms, legs and upper chest. Greaves and Sabatons combined to give the armoured boot look.
Over the thinner armour Solaris wears a long coat, keeping the thicker pieces (boots and folded shield and mechanical sheath) over it to keep herself comfortable to avoid the coat moving oddly due to the weight of the thick armour. Reaching to her thighs which seem somewhat dress like except for the overlap on her left side. Sleeve straps on the end and magnetic clips for ease when putting it on and a large folded collar. Additionally, she also has a bright red scarf which is tucked into the front of the coat and sits comfortably in its place and doesn’t move very easily.
Solaris also has a helmet adorned over her face, albeit it normally just covers her jaw, underneath her ears and goes over her bun. But when extended it completely covers ears, mouth, cheeks and nose with a smooth visor covering the rest.
Casual
Sol’s clothing in non-combat or Atlas related activities is mostly determined by the fact that she has a large chest, this means that her tops will consist of most clothing as long as it doesn’t feel tight, hoodies, jackets that can be unzipped/unbuttoned, loose v-necks, over-the-shoulder tops. Generally, she tends to match the clothing with shorts, pants, leggings or a combination of either.
A side note would be she has her hair down or in a simple style when not wearing her huntress clothing or going to any formal/Atlas events.
History: Sol was born in Atlas to Ra Star (tacticians officer, Atlas Military) and Isabella Star (nightclub owner), the first of two sisters who would appear more different than dark and light. While she was growing up her father would always tell her stories as a kid, to her these stories were like blockbuster hits, her imagination filled her with ideas of being the one to rescue those who couldn’t help themselves, one particular story is what set her on her path to becoming the huntress that she is now. “The girl who tamed fire” was a story about a young adventurer who had an ability to manipulate fire as freely as it were her own body, saving people and slaying Grimm as she went on many adventures. Something had started in her heart which led her to follow that story, to become the girl she had practically idolized as a kid.
Ra saw this passion burning in her heart, something that inspires people, as soon as he saw that he knew he wouldn’t be able to fight it. She was almost like him, a force which could do so much good, vanquish evil and save the day. He had decided to unlock her aura and would see that she would learn the basics of fighting. At first, he couldn’t stop laughing, a girl, only ten, swinging a sword around like she was playing sword fighting with kids and their imaginary Grimm, but he was able to look past the silliness and made sure to put her in the right tracks. Before she joined Atlas Academy her father had taught her all about the basic mannerisms of Atlas and made sure she would get off to a good start.
When she started at Atlas she was treated like a doll, older upcoming hunters/huntresses called her cute and looked at her as the cutest, sweetest little thing. She idolized them and may have picked up on some of their more ‘mature’ natures which stuck with her through her later years at Atlas much to the dismay of her teachers and whichever team mates of that particular student she was involved with at the time, as time went on she quickly grew out of the ‘cute’ stage and showed promise, her aura control developed faster due to previous training with her father, her swordplay was constantly evolving and she showed to be able to counter weapons that would normally put her at a disadvantage, adding a shield she became a difficult enemy to take down and that was before the gun was added.
When she had passed her first four years and moved up she started to use the mannerisms that she picked up by her seniors and caused a little bit of trouble with some girls due to her charming nature and a face that was more handsome than pretty. She matured greatly and with her team (SOLR) were one of the more common names in Atlas Academy which may have stemmed from her infamous and rather seductive nature of other students.
Unfortunately, Menrva and her father got attacked while outside the kingdom, Sol without hesitation went to the hanger of the academy and took the ship that looked like it was flight capable, even seconds were ticking away and she didn’t want to waste even a moment. She was able to get to the last known location and was able to track them to a WF hideout, she had to make a choice and she did, a bullet into the WF member who had his gun aimed at Ra while using her sword to deflect the bullet aimed at Menrva sending the bullet right back into the WF member’s heart. Ra, unfortunately, had an artery slightly opened and Sol set the building on fire to cover her escape with her father and sister while hopefully being able to kill as many WF members as she could.
She was able to make her way back to the ship, her father had bled out unfortunately and Menrva had sustained major damage and wasn’t going to last long without surgery, she had set her on a table in the centre of the ship and when she saw her being scanned she thought it’d be best to leave it to the ship as it already was getting to work on Menrva. The trip back to Atlas was tense and when she saw her sister after landing was horrifying: lost limbs and instead she had mechanical sockets and her limbs were completely severed off. The ship had notified staff and a medical team was already on standby as she landed the ship, Sol was in shock about the state of her sister as they took her away.
Of course, Solaris would normally have faced punishments and heavy ones at that, however, the concern over her sister and that she hadn’t woken up four days after surgery was putting more than enough worry on her, not eating properly, lack of sleep, her loss of her father and funeral preparations all weighing heavily on her shoulders and people would have to be blind to see her state as fine. She was commemorated on her duty to protect those who couldn’t, even if she did have to “burrow” military prototype to do so and was prepared for heavy consequences. The current headmaster had all her current work temporarily suspended for her while Sol had to get herself back together and found a way to deal with Menrva. Luckily she woke up after another ten days and Sol was able to focus again, but not leaving her side out of fear for her sister’s safety.
Sol was able to return to the academy after Menrva had regained most of her motor control over her new appendages, Solaris’ teammates helped her in any way they could while she insisted she was fine they could see that there was a deep hatred that was ever present in her eyes, so prominent that they were unsure if this was even their team leader at times since she was acting so differently than before.
Things remained mostly normal like this all into and through her final year. While she had spent a massive amount of time with her sister but the effects of what had transpired on both of them were still visible: Menrva had slowly grown quiet and started to stop talking altogether, no doubt from guilt over the events that transpired the previous year and Sol was never as flirtatious as she was before. These events lead to Solaris talking it over with her sister and mother and decided that after Atlas she would need time to recover, away from Atlas and family, to rediscover herself and try to find a way to live with the constant hate deep in her heart. The months before she was due to leave Menrva had gotten help from professors within R&D to build a robotic scouting unit and worked on updating Solaris’ gear for her travels. Menrva was able to use equipment from the department to fit it into this companion and gave it to her before she left. A farewell gift and something to keep in contact with and to know where she could send future equipment when it was ready for her.
Over the 4 years that she has been exploring Remnant she has seen a great many things, she received frequent packages from her sister: some trivial such as sweets or hand-written letters and others were additions to her gear, she saw temples and ruins alike, human and faunas from all walks of life, and most noticeably she became very notorious among the WF as she actively hunted them through wherever she could and proved a constant threat and earned the nickname “Fang Ripper” for her constant work of killing WF officers and preventing WF operations.
After those 4 years were up she had taken up a position in the Atlas Special Forces Division so she would be able to see her sister more and get to visit family and friends on a regular basis. However she also did this because the Fang had gotten harder to track, so she had to resort to joining the ASF to have access to more resources and information to hunt them down when she would be able to.
Personality: Solaris could probably be one of the strangest Atlesian Specialists around, she is less formal from just about every other and comes across more as a mercenary who was hired for a job. She also comes off with an unnatural kindness and is strangely intimate with people that she likes or seems to be kind enough which is capable of raising more than a few eyebrows from others to which she never seems to pay any mind.
However, this shouldn’t fool anyone to her unrestrained nature, anyone who is close can see hatred burn in her eyes, hatred for the White Fang for what they did to her sister and those who would seek to harm those who are close to her, a strange coldness surrounds her eyes which reeks of spilt blood and souls long gone, yet she is never bothered by this or those she has killed. The only thing that seems to make her lose sleep is the image of her sister shortly after her rescue and her father’s death. Despite having come to terms with them over time she still is uncomfortable with those thoughts and rather that she could just block those thoughts from her mind.
Despite her combat heavy nature, one would simply bypass her as a brute of muscle and strength, but that wouldn’t be farther from the truth. A very sharp mind has helped her just as much as her muscle when fighting, being able to analyze enemy weapons and understand the transformations with only a glance and can understand how a person fights with only an extremely short clash of weapons. Commenting on what she understands and is also one to make the odd joke or two during combat to the annoyance of her enemies.
Her sharp understanding of personalities has also allowed her to deduce her sister from her extremely little visual hints, she also , aware of her sister’s feelings towards herself but is treating it delicately since she knows how fragile her sister really is and she is beyond precious to Solaris and would hunt anyone who dared harm her with unrelenting, cold determination.
Aura and Semblance: Aura: Red with flickers of black

Name: Inferno
Inferno is the name of the semblance and fire manipulation is her game. Solaris can manipulate fire and control fire within a large radius and can also manipulate the flames of others due to the dominating and most times; a more powerful aura than her opponent. Solaris can straight up manipulate and create fire as the most basic use of her ability. She can’t create fire on an aura shielded enemy but can manipulate the fire after the initial burst of flames as freely as she could her own fire as we as boasting a very high resistance to fire, being able to handle fire many times over what a hunter or huntress could take.
One of her high-tier moves allows her to condense fire until it can be used as a bomb, focusing the fire until it becomes unstable so she can launch it at an enemy. Alternately, she can condense it near an enemy although this would require them to stay relatively close since she can’t move the centre of the fireball while it is condensing but is free to manipulate it after and shoot it off to a targeted location.
Combat Behavior: Solaris fights with a mastery of both sword and shield styles. Her particular style of combat takes the basics of disciplined traditional techniques mixed in with influences from Mistralian styles to build a flexible yet solid style of combat. Wielding Bellator in most circumstances being easily used for both offence and defence, either one-handed or two-handed and with either hand working the blade to build a difficult to break defence.
When the sword isn’t enough she then brings out her shield, superior defensive capabilities and a ranged option allow for superior combat prowess when facing multiple opponents or heavy damaging opponents. She uses her gravity boosted boots to allow herself freedom of movement when she is unable to get to where she does normally and the gravity dust boosted gloves can grant her an extremely strong grip strength.
She can utilize her fire semblance to typical manipulate fire out of the way but this is practically useless due to her high resistance to fire, but is valuable when she is working near flammable material or protecting cargo. As a last note she is also capable of physically interacting with fire due to her semblance strength and can hit fireballs away if need be.
Despite all of her strength and offensive power she is quite aggressive and has let her anger take over more than once. When this happens Solaris becomes more dangerous but also becomes reckless and openings start to show in her fighting style.
Solaris’ gun shield isn’t a proper gun and since it is mounted to her forearm does not allow for accurate shooting unless done in short bursts because she starts to sacrifice her accuracy in exchange for continuous fire.
WEAPONSName: Bellator
Primary Form: A sword of a western base, utilizing tech from Atlas with the ancient design to boost fighting capabilities. A large crossguard featuring 30cm for the handle and 20cm on either side to build the crossguard and a blade of 80cm. The blade s mostly perpendicular until it has about 10cm left in which it forms the tip.
Dust Functions: Bellator can become ignited in fire, the blade burns brightly and energy crackles for as long as it is ignited. Very hot to the touch and the air around it as well, it also covers the crossguards.
Reflection - Sol can make the sword reflect any bullets, this makes them always come back in the direction that they came unless striking the edge which it then gets shot off to the side.
Barrier - By stabbing the sword in the ground Solaris can create a barrier around herself of fire and kinetic dust, it boasts the same protective properties as her shield barrier so penetrating the barrier is a very difficult job for anything but anti-material weapons but even then it would most likely miss due to the barrier curving the trajectory.
History: Created during her time in Atlas, the dust functions were added when she was 18 with a collaboration from a dust professor in the academy to add it in.
Name: Postremi
Primary Form: A sword mixed between eastern and western designs with the base running off a western sword with the blade of eastern design dual-bladed like her regular sword. It is done in a silver/gray colour combination for matching colours
Secondary Form: The blade splits and the top half slides down, halving the size of the blade for convenience and this allows it to be holstered in her mechanical sheath
History: Originally given to her as payment from a lone merchant who she saved just as she was passing by, she added the ability to fold when she was at a nearby village and had access to a blacksmith and workstation with the tools needed.
Name: Curatrix
Primary Form: A piece of armour covering her forearm on her left arm, extending slightly past the elbow, this form allows for nothing special besides the extra armour which isn’t even that useful due to the aura protection but once that fades the extra armour is always beneficial.
Secondary Form: The armour folds off to reveal a circular shield, with a small extension following her forearm, the shield is capable of rotating to suit whichever direction she may need the extension to face.
Tertiary Form: The extension telescopes to reveal a twin-barreled gun, the circular part of the shield rotates to act as a shield against incoming rifle in the same way that a rifle shield would.
Dust Functions/Ammunition: Secondary form
Kinetic dust - Kinetic dust allows for the shield to act as a barrier, all bullets, and melee hits as long as the barrier is up, it can also be used offensive to smash even targets and items much heavier and larger than herself away.
Lightning dust - Lightning dust releases a large emp like /stun directional burst, temporarily disabling electronics within 3m (9.8 feet).
Ammunition - Rifle rounds 40 bullet cartridges in each gun.
History: Originally just a gun/shield when in Atlas, however, upgrades were sent to Solaris during her travels by her sister. While Solaris had to install them herself the upgrades were limited to allow minimal adjustment to her current fighting style.
ARMOUR & GEAREnhanced equipment: Solaris’ gauntlet and boots have gravitational properties by use of gravity dust. For her boots she is capable of running along surfaces such as walls or ceilings as if she were running on it normally, she can even have her feet leave the surface temporarily.
The boots are also able to suppress noise so that she is almost silent in a full-blown sprint.
Visor:
HUD: Solaris gets a full HUD when the visor is activated, she gets information from her Aerial scout EYES and is able to see through her shield due to advance camera setups and she can still know where the shields exact size is due to highlights.
Highlights - As well as seeing through the shield she can also receive highlights that EYES can see, they appear as highlights on her HUD and she is capable of seeing through things such as smoke because of this.
Mechanical Sheath: On her back Sol has a sheath which can hold two blades, this sheath can easily hold both blades and she is also capable of moving on its own. Which means she can actually sheath it on her back since it can move to give her the required space she needs or she can have it on her hip. A small mechanical arm and a slide on the sheath is what allows this to happen.
AERIAL UNIT EYES S-MODELNon-active: Eyes takes the form of an additional layer on Solaris’ armour. Going from the upper back around to her chest. The wings are on the side and are first to detach allowing it to catch wind right before it detaches to get the space for a quick aerial ascension and distance from Solaris.
Active: Eyes looks like an eagle, in complete terms in form but larger in size, except metal. The face bears great resemblance to the Atlas robot faces with the black mask. The wings have a slight blue glow and have small ports to allow for the thrusters. Inside the body, it has a cannon and can shoot various types of ammunition but its main purpose serves as a scouting unit. It receives signal and audio commands from Solaris which are transmitted via mic and a tech-based glove.
Equipment: Cannon: A single grenade launcher with various ammunition, including but not limited to: smoke, incendiary, concussive and breaching rounds.
Sensory Equipment
Eyes: The eyes are able to scan and detect enemies: human, Grimm, robotics and can mark them on Solaris’ HUD.
Sound: It can pick up sounds and pinpoint locations by using that sound. It can pick up transmissions and patch Solaris into the comm, whether just as a listener or a third addition to the call and one of its greatest abilities is to interface and hack machinery and electronics by use plug-ins.
Holographic display: EYES can project a holographic projection for multiple purposes, a map of the surrounding area, face displays, and communication if necessary.
